Psalm 85:10-12 (NIV)
10 Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.
11 Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,
and righteousness looks down from heaven.
12 The Lord will indeed give what is good,
and our land will yield its harvest.
Spring has sprung. We see new life on the hillsides, we hear it in the sound of the songbirds, and we know it in our souls. Life moves all around us, cars passing by, standing in line at the store, and our phones nudging for our attention. We live at a speed that our souls cannot sustain and all the while life is springing up from the ground. This is one of the most beautiful seasons in our mountains and we often pass it by. We forget to sit in the garden that God has created and walk with Him in the cool of the evening. The gentle reminders of the sunrise, daffodils, and birds singing should draw us to the Lord for this new life. Allow the new life of spring to be a reminder today of God’s creation and His ability to make us a new creation.
2 Corinthians 5:17 New International Version (NIV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
