But as for me, I trust in you. Psalm 55:23b
As I read Psalm 55 I came to the final statement. I noticed that the word “trust” was referenced in my Hebrew dictionary, so I looked it up. The Hebrew word is batah. The definition read: “to attach oneself to . . . denotes confident expectation.”
Do you fear something that may never happen? Do you live with the dread of “what if?” It may sound simplistic, but it helps to walk with Jesus above the fear and worry. Take His hand – attach yourself to Him – and know you don’t need to have it all figured out. Walk with Him in confident expectation as you face each circumstance of the day. He is always there, and His grace is always sufficient.
The result is that you become His hands, His feet, and His face to all you encounter. You are blessed and those around you are blessed because you have “attached yourself” to the Creator and Sustainer of all life.
Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you . . .” Psalm 55:22
